Here is your update on a TRUE classic: The 2024 Catalina 243RBS Legacy Edition
This Catalina is a couples model with a new facelift. If I didn’t lose you at “couples” then let’s jump into the features and specs!

Living Area Features
Wildwood ditched the unnecessary elevated breakfast bar seen in previous models. Now, you’ve got more countertop space and storage as well as carpetless flooring which makes cleaning up a breeze.
There are also convenient power outlet locations for your countertop appliances.
Keep in mind this RV is 6’ 9” high. So, if you’re on the taller side, you won’t worry about any head bonks here.
This is one of the smallest travel trailers (under 29’) that you can get with a full living room super slide and private bedroom.
The sofa is NOT a jack-knife. The bottom lifts and folds and rests on the floor. It’s a bi-fold as opposed to the typical tri-fold option.
In the past, there was a fully enclosed wall where the bedroom was only accessible from the right side. Now, you can go into the bedroom from the living area on either side.
Kitchen Features
The kitchen is a pretty standard travel trailer kitchen. This time around they have added a kill switch to the refrigerator on the outside so that if you ever need it clicked off in a hurry you can do it with the flip of a switch.
They’ve also added a lot more kitchen storage. You’ll find a huge cabinet right next to the bathroom which could function as your pantry if you wanted it to.
The dinette does fold down into a bed, if you’re bringing family or friends along.
Bathroom Features
The bathroom is tucked into a corner, which may be a bit tight for some. If you think this could be a problem make sure to check this model out in person before you buy.
The shower’s height is impressive. Need more elbow room while soaping up? Face the hot and cold water knobs (or the direct opposite) then you will find that you have a lot more space to move.
There are two octopus hangers for towels or clothes.
Bedroom Features
The bedroom is a private retreat with a camp queen bed. While some might prefer a larger true queen, you can still make it work if you’re creative. If this is a deal killer for you, you may want to explore other options.
Beneath the bed, you’ll find some decent storage space.
There are now household and USB outlets on both sides of the bed, and the storage above the bed is a nice touch.
Road Mode: Towing and Travel Access
A half-ton truck should be able to tow the Catalina 243RBS, but always check your vehicle’s capabilities.

When putting the travel trailer into road mode you need to make sure you’ve got the bathroom door all the way open first.

Potential Problem
When the slides are in you are left with a floating door that could potentially smack into something. You’re going to want to secure that door before you tow so you don’t sustain any damage while on the road.
