Living in the 2024 FSX 262VC

The 2024 FSX 262VC Wildwood & Salem RV by Forest River comes with a well-designed living area. It’s seven feet tall inside, providing plenty of headroom and an open and spacious feel.

The area also features a slide-out that increases living space and is enhanced with an accent light, contributing to a larger feel. Notably, the RV lacks floor vents and carpet, adding to the sense of spaciousness and making it pet friendly.

The décor is light and welcoming, though there’s no option for different color packages – what you see is what you get. The living area includes some thoughtful touches like LED accent lights and a handy pop-up power tower to keep your devices charged up!

The kitchen in this RV is compact but packed with features. It has a unique air fryer convection microwave combo, reflecting a trend in the RV industry towards more modern and multipurpose appliances. There’s a propane cooktop, but you won’t find a traditional oven here.

The elevated dining area or breakfast bar is a standout feature, with storage that slides out to you, a thoughtful design not commonly seen in RVs. The kitchen also enjoys a small window that lets in natural light, though it’s partially covered when the camp kitchen is in use.

Watch your step on those D-Rings when getting a midnight snack late at night!

Bathroom of the 2024 FSX 262VC

The bathroom in the FSX 262VC provides adequate space and comfort. The seven-foot ceiling ensures plenty of headroom, making the shower feel less cramped. The bathroom has a smaller conventional fan and features a “peekaboo” door.

The toilet area is decent in terms of space for hips, shoulders, and elbows, although legroom could be a little better for us taller folks. Overall, it’s a functional and comfortable bathroom space for an RV.

You can see Josh’s head (standing at 6ft) is no where near the shower’s ceiling.

Bedroom of the 2024 FSX 262VC

The bedroom of this RV features the versatility bed system, a power headboard lift that provides flexibility in how the space is used. The bed is a camp queen size, fitting well in the space but might be short for taller individuals. There’s storage space under the bed, and the cabinets above have an auto-close feature. The TV hookup location in the bedroom isn’t ideal, but it’s manageable.

This RV works for a lot of different purposes – if you can dream it, it can be it!

Traveling in the 2024 FSX 262VC

When in road mode, the FSX 262VC has some limitations. Bedroom travel access is not available, and the refrigerator door can only partially open. However, the sink remains accessible, and you can move easily between the peninsula and the sofa.

You might be able to get one or two things in or out of the fridge but that’s about it.

Features on the Outside of the 2024 FSX 262VC

The RV’s exterior includes several appealing features. There’s a full unobstructed front pass-through storage and the versatility hardware is smartly placed. It comes with 200 watts of factory solar and a 30 amp controller. Also notable is the outside griddle and fridge, located under the awning for convenient outdoor cooking. The RV is equipped with LCI quick drop stabilizers for stability and has an enclosed underbelly with holding tank heaters and a radiant barrier.

Potential Problems with the 2024 FSX 262VC

Some potential issues include discomfort from stepping on the metal D-ring tie downs if barefoot, and the possible inconvenience of the sewer outlet placement under the slide.

The bedroom TV hookup location isn’t ideal, and the lack of a traditional oven might be a downside for some.
