Turkey Popcorn Treat Bags

Posted On: November 13, 2017

Can you believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner? This time of year is full of family gatherings, cooking, and making memories. While adults are cooking and getting ready for the upcoming dinner, why not set the kids up with a fun activity to keep them busy. Turkey Popcorn Treat Bags are easy to make yet so adorable.

Clear Disposable Gloves

Popped Popcorn

Peanut M&M’s

Reese’s Pieces

Googly Eyes

Glue Stick

Orange Construction Paper

Clear Tape or Clear Rubber Bands

Take one glove and fill the thumb with red candy pieces. Fill the remaining finger spots with yellow, brown, green, or orange candies.

Fill the middle of the glove with popcorn. Make it quite full so the popcorn is packed to keep the candy in place.

Twist or fold the bottom of the glove (opening) to the back and use either glue or a piece of tape to secure it in place, so the popcorn and candy don’t fall out.

Add a googly eye just above the thumb.

Twist the thumb down for the turkey’s wattle (optional: secure with clear rubber band).

Cut out a beak using the scissors and orange construction paper. Spread a thin layer of glue on the back and secure it just above the turkey’s wattle.

Continue this process until the desired number of bags are completed.

This will be a fun activity the kids can enjoy while the adults enjoy some time in the kitchen. There is nothing better than seeing kids with a smile on their faces having fun with one another during the holiday season.
