Spice up painting with the little ones and grab some clothespins and pom-pom balls. This is a fun and easy way for kids to paint an American Flag.
Supplies per child:
Start by having the kids pinch a pom-pom into each of the 3 clothespins. Dip one clothespin pom-pom into the blue paint. Have them make a box of blue dots in the upper left-hand cornor of the paper, filling the entire space with blue. Let the blue paint dry. Then, take another clothespin pom-pom and dip it into the red paint. Have them dot lines of red, keeping a line of white in between each red dotted line. Then take the last clothespin pom-pom and dip it into the white paint. Add white dots to the blue area to represent the stars.
Have some fun with your kids this Memorial Day Weekend, and remember to teach them why we celebrate this holiday.
