Jayco Fifth Wheels

Jayco Eagle HT

How Much Does a Jayco Eagle HT Cost?

A New Jayco Eagle HT costs from $45,000 – $110,000.

A used Eagle HT will cost about $18,000 to $65,000, depending on factors like its age and condition

You can read more here about the cost of a fifth wheel.

What is a Jayco Eagle HT?

The Eagle HT line is the entry-level fifth wheel in the Jayco lineup. The 9, popular HT models range from 29’1” – 37’4” long with a dry weight of 8,060 lbs to 10,465 lbs. The Jayco Eagle HT 28.5 RSTS is the #1 selling Jayco Fifth Wheel at Bish’s RV.

Wondering what HT stands for in Eagle HT? All 9 models in this lineup are meant to be hauled by a half-ton pickup.

Are these fifth wheels actually half-ton towable? Yes, but only by the correct half-ton with the right payload and towing capacities. Because of an Eagle HT’s size and weight, many cannot be towed by any and every half-ton pickup.

I can’t help but shake my head when folks claim their half-ton can tow anything. Tow ratings and payload ratings for half-ton pickups are all over the map, so check out the ratings for your truck before committing to your fifth wheel. You’ll be safer and your truck and fifth wheel will fare better for longer if the ratings match up.

What Features are in an Eagle HT?

These trailers come with all the amenities you need to camp comfortably without breaking the bank.

Among other features, all Eagle HT fifth wheels include:

  • 50-amp service
  • Electric auto level
  • 15,000 BTU Furnace
  • Goodyear tires
  • MORryde suspension for a smoother ride quality
  • The JAYCOMMAND pro tablet system, which allows you to control most everything on your RV from your phone or directly on the tablet.

You can also choose to add:

  • Overland II, Overland IV solar kits
  • Dry Camping Package with Propane Generator Prep + Extra Propane Capacity
  • Extreme Weather Package to extend your camping season

Is the Jayco Eagle HT Right for Me?

With their lower price and weight, the HT Eagle is a good fit for a lot of fifth wheel RVers. But they aren’t for everyone. One of the more common problems customers have is the height of the slides, which is generally below 6 feet. If you’re taller, like me, this is simply no bueno.

Jayco Eagle

How Much is a Jayco Eagle Fifth Wheel?

A new Jayco Eagle fifth wheel ranges from $50,000 – $115,000. A used Eagle can cost anywhere from $4,700 – $85,500 depending on its age and condition.

What is a Jayco Eagle Fifth Wheel?

A Jayco Eagle fifth wheel is 36′ 3″ – 40′ 3″ long with a dry weight from 10,720 lbs – 11,905 lbs. You will most definitely want a ¾ ton pickup to safely haul one of these RVs down the road.

I’ve helped many RVers find their ideal fifth wheel, and the Eagle line has often been a good fit. The 5 different models provide plenty of floor plans to choose from. From couples coaches to bunkhouses, the Eagle fifth wheel line has several great options!

What Features are on a Jayco Eagle Fifth Wheel?

Jayco does not skimp on material and design. With all hardwood interiors and true craftsmanship, the Jayco Eagle stands up great against its competitors—many of which use veneer lumber and cheaper interior facets.

Each Eagle RV includes:

  • 50 Amp service
  • A 2nd ‘Whisper Quiet’ AC
  • Drinking Water System
  • King Size Bed
  • Washer and dryer prep
  • Residential style fridge

You can also choose to add:

  • Overland II, Overland IV solar kits
  • Dry Camping Package – Propane Generator Prep + Extra Propane Capacity
  • Extreme Weather Package to extend your camping season

Is the Jayco Eagle Right for Me?

I had an RVer call me last summer looking for the more expensive Jayco North Point. He wanted the North Point features but didn’t want to pay the higher price. The Jayco Eagle was a perfect fit.

The Eagle has almost all the same features as a North Point for less. If you’re in this same boat, be sure to know what your true wants and needs are and give the Eagle a chance before bumping up to a luxury Jayco fifth wheel.

Jayco North Point

What Does a Jayco North Point Fifth Wheel Cost?

A new Jayco North Point ranges from $69,000 – $175,000. A used North Point ranges from $38,000 – $100,000, depending on its age and condition.

What is a Jayco North Point?

The North Point line has 7 models. They range from 36′ 1″ – 44′ 0″ long with dry weights from 12,150 lbs – 15,425 lbs. These units are definitely meant to be pulled by a ¾ ton (or higher) pickup.

If you love style and luxury, a Jayco North Point will fit the bill. You’ll find the usual exceptional Jayco quality with the bonus of lux style. The exterior designs and colors pair with the interior color scheme and finishes to make these units drool worthy.

What Features are on a North Point Fifth Wheel?

Every Jayco North Point includes:

  • 6pt hydraulic auto leveling system
  • Residential walk-in shower
  • Residential stove, fridge, and microwave
  • Fridge temperature sensors
  • Oversized multi battery compartment with room for 4-6 batteries

The biggest upgrades from the Eagle to the North Point line are:

  • Prep for a 3rd AC
  • 6pt hydraulic auto leveling
  • 17.5” Uniroyal tires
  • JayVoice. This is my favorite feature. If you have an Alexa or Google Home, JayVoice is a very similar system. With JayVoice you can talk to your RV, and it will take care of business for you! You can turn on/off all interior lights, dim lights for a late-night movie, or even turn on/off AC units, all with your voice.
  • The North Point line also comes with an 1800-watt inverter, which turns 12v into 110v power. The inverter allows you to use outlets and a few other devices through battery power alone.

Available options include:

  • 3rd AC in living room
  • 20 cu ft 12v fridge
  • 5500-watt Onan generator
  • Truma on Demand water heater
  • Extreme Weather Package which adds 120V heat pads to your holding tanks and 12v line wraps. With this you can camp longer into the year with less worry!
  • Overland II, Overland IV, or Overland EXT solar kits

Is the Jayco North Point Right for Me?

Truth be told, they are pricey, but they are sweet!

If you love the upscale modern interior and features, but don’t want to bump up to the Pinnacle price point, then this may be the right fit for you!

Now, if you are able to sacrifice some features, because you want to spend less, then the Eagle will suit you!

If the design of the North Point speaks to you, but you’d like more space, then the Pinnacle is the next best option.

Jayco Pinnacle

What Does a Jayco Pinnacle Fifth Wheel Cost?

A new Jayco Pinnacle fifth wheel ranges from $84,000 – $190,000. A used Pinnacle ranges from around $20,000 – $115,000 depending on age and condition.

What is a Jayco Pinnacle Fifth Wheel?

The Jayco Pinnacle lives up to its name. As the top, or peak of the Jayco line up, Pinnacle RVs are elegant and prestigious fifth wheels. Pinnacles range from 36′ 4″ – 44′ 5″ long and weigh from 12,870 – 14,835 lbs.

The interior feels so upscale you would have no problem full timing in one of these. The 102” wide body provides more square footage throughout the whole camper compared to the lower Jayco lines (which are all 96” wide).

The interior includes high quality wood finishes and upscale interior touches. This RV has a more homey, less modern vibe than you find in the North Point. It’s an eye-catching interior, but not necessarily ideal for everyone’s tastes. If you prefer a more modern look, for example, this may not be the best option for you.

I’m partial to the interior home entertainment system—complete with subwoofer. With sound like this you could annoy all the neighbors! But we know you’re not like that, of course.

Pinnacle Features

In the Pinnacle you’ll find features that make your RV a perfect home away from home.

These include:

  • 6 point hydraulic auto leveling
  • Frameless dark-tinted safety glass windows
  • Oversized multi-battery compartment (Industry leading 4-6 batteries)
  • Powered 50-amp cord reel
  • Central vacuum system

The Jayco Pinnacle line has every bell and whistle from the North Point and then some.

Upgrades include:

  • Dual LED fireplaces that provide a cozy cabin feel wherever your destination might be.
  • Cedar lined closets (If the model has a front wardrobe). No bugs will bother your clothing, plus it looks very classy!
  • Extreme Weather Package comes standard on the Pinnacle, you can take your mobile cabin to the climates your heart desires. . .within reason of course.

Available options include:

  • 3rd living room AC
  • 20 cu ft 12v fridge
  • 5500-watt Onan generator
  • Truma on Demand water heater
  • Overland II, Overland IV, or Overland EXT solar kits

To see everything included within these packages and other options available, check out the Jayco Pinnacle Brochure

Is the Jayco Pinnacle Right for Me?

I tend to hear “This is out of my price range” quite a bit when I show an RV buyer a Pinnacle. It’s certainly pricey, which means it’s not a perfect fit for everyone. The extra 6” of trailer width is very nice, so for some, especially full-timers, the extra price is worth that perk.

Many RVers love the elegant feel of the Pinnacle, with the fancy trim work and classic color schemes.

If the design doesn’t speak to you, however, and/or the price is out of your range, the North Point is still a great option that only lacks a few of the features you find in a Pinnacle.

Can I Trust a Jayco RV?

The Jayco brand has a strong reputation and an almost cult-like following. You can buy with confidence with Jayco.

Jayco backs up all the fifth wheels mentioned here with an outstanding warranty. All Jayco RVs include a 2-year limited plus the 3-year structural warranty. Plus, Jayco builds quality products that stand behind their uniquely good warranty. Other manufacturers generally offer a 1 year limited plus 3-year structural warranty.
