Until recently, the standard frame warranty in the RV industry was three years. However, Grand Design rocked the RV world last week by introducing an unprecedented five-year frame warranty for all its products.

This huge warranty upgrade reflects Grand Design’s commitment to giving their customers peace of mind and confidence in Grand Design camper construction quality.

This article will cover the 3 things you need to know about Grand Design’s 5-year Warranty:

  1. Who is covered?
  2. What is the warranty?
  3. Grand Design stands by its construction quality

Who Does the 5-Year Frame Warranty Cover?

The 5-Year Frame Warranty covers all Grand Design products. Both Travel Trailers and 5th Wheels!

5-year Warranty Covers 2020 and Newer Campers

What’s most remarkable about this incredible warranty is that it isn’t just for future purchases—it includes all Grand Design RVs purchased as far back as 2020.

Grand Design is honoring this five-year warranty retroactively. This means anyone who purchased a new Grand Design in 2020—or any year thereafter—now benefits from the five-year frame warranty. The warranty is good for 5 years from the original purchase date.

Why Did Grand Design Change Its Frame Warranty?

While RVers are applauding Grand Design’s generous new 5-year frame warranty, many are asking what prompted Grand Design’s decision to make this big change.

The answer is a bit concerning. Grand Design fifth wheels, particularly Solitude and Momentum models, have been accused of having frame failure issues – a serious structural defect called frame flex.
