The Freedom Express 298FDS is Coming!

The 298FDS Freedom Express is a floor plan that feels both unique and familiar at the same time. It brings back classic front-living and front-kitchen designs from back in the day, a concept that somehow faded away. Think back to the “good ole” days where RVs had abundant cabinet storage, and countertops to spare. The Freedom Express is bringing it back!!!

Remember, the video as well as any pictures you see here are EARLY access. The 298FDS as of the creation of this article is not yet finished. But hey, you’re getting the exclusive sneak peek right here! If you’re interested, check out some similar models.

Classic Living Meets Modern

If we had to describe how the living room and kitchen were set up, we would have to call it a “modernization” of the classic front-living front-kitchen idea. Remember, back in the day, having the television as the focal point of any room wasn’t a thing. The Freedom Express 298FDS has embraced the culture change this time around!

Around the table, you’ll find there’s enough space so that you’re not, as Josh the RV Nerd puts it, “knee-fighting each other”. If the cushion color isn’t your favorite don’t worry, those aren’t set in stone. However, the wood around them is. Check out the fold-up function of the table! 👇

What’s great about the kitchen is the sheer amount of counter space that you have. There’s enough space for avid meal preppers to prep a whole month’s worth of food! Maybe, that’s an exaggeration, but just check out that counter space! (Scroll down just a bit) And who doesn’t love the chevron backsplash?

If you’re worried about storage, don’t be. The Freedom Express has got plenty of it. We’ll show you some more storage here in a bit. 

Bedroom

The bedroom is equipped with plenty of storage for clothes with its doors and drawers. While the doors aren’t attached just yet, you can see that there are some latches where they will be. 

The bed itself is a “True Queen” meaning full size as opposed to “camp size”.

Bathroom Space and Utility

The bathroom is spacious with enough room to easily use the shower and sink. There is one very minor flaw however and we find it in the toilet.

Righties will find using the toilet super convenient, however, if you’re a lefty, not so much! This can be fixed by adjusting the “throne” a little to the right, angling it away from the furniture that you see right next to it. 

Whether there was space for a lefty or not isn’t that big of a deal though because thanks to Josh the RV Nerd striking his signature toilet pose, we learn that there’s enough space to at least take a selfie!

Across from the toilet, you’ll find the sink and mirror. We think it looks pretty nice! But what do you think?

How could we forget the shower? Is it tall enough for the average person? Scroll to see Josh in the shower – FULLY CLOTHED!

There you go! The verdict is in – the shower is most definitely tall enough!

But check out the outside sink! That’s a nice little addition, isn’t it? That probably helps a lot with those meals you enjoy having outside right?

Under the beast you’ll see that pass-thru storage we hinted at earlier. I’m not saying that you would want to, nor do I know why you would want to, but you could sleep a couple of people down there! There is so much space for all of your adventure gear!
