Changes to the 2024 Wayfinder Go Play Travel Trailer Series
In 2023, our team at Bish’s RV started our own RV manufacturing company – Wayfinder RV. Our goal was simple: to make excellent but affordable RVs that everyone would love to use for their camping trips.
The first RVs we made were Go Play travel trailers. These campers ended up being some of the top-selling campers in the country.
When designing the Go Play campers, we knew we needed a solid foundation, so we partnered with Jayco Inc. and modeled the Go Play off the Open Range travel trailer. Open Range is a brand under the Jayco family company: Highland Ridge.
But we knew we could make Go Plays even better, with a touch of our own style and some cool features that adventure-seeking families would appreciate. So, we asked what all of you thought, and wow, did you all have lots of great ideas!
We listened closely to what you had to say, and we’re excited to share that 2024 Go Play 26BHS campers have many new upgrades that you asked for! Now they come with fantastic features like solar packages to keep your gadgets charged, and an outdoor griddle for those hearty campfire meals.
As you read through this article, you’ll get to learn about all the changes we’ve made to the Go Play 26BHS. We hope this will help you figure out if it’s the right choice for your family’s next fun camping trip.

Upgraded Interiors with a Fresh Look
We’ve given the 26BHS model a fabulous facelift on the inside. The light and bright décor, combined with a taller six-foot-nine-inch ceiling, creates a spacious and inviting atmosphere. The carpetless slide system adds to the feeling of openness, making your RV experience even more enjoyable. We’ve put a lot of thought into the details, making sure you have a comfortable and stylish space to relax in.

26BHS Solar Power – Standard and Ready to Go
Your feedback has been invaluable, and we’ve listened carefully. We understand the importance of solar power for many of our customers, so we’re excited to announce that a 200-watt solar package with a 30-amp controller is now standard on the 26BHS model. Whether you’re a boondocking enthusiast or just want to keep your batteries topped up, this solar package has you covered. And guess what? We’ve included this without increasing the price tag compared to the 23 models. That’s right, you get more for your money!
Go Play 26BHS Solar Package
- Standardized 200-watt solar package: The Go Play 26BHS now comes with a 200-watt solar package as a standard feature, which is designed to help maintain battery charge and offset the power usage of the 12-volt fridge.
- 30-amp charge controller: The solar package includes a 30-amp charge controller, which helps in efficiently managing the energy harvested from the solar panels and charging the battery.
- Facilitates casual use: The solar package is geared towards casual users of the RV, allowing them to maintain charged batteries and avoid issues with parasitic loads, ensuring the RV is always ready to go.
Go Play 26BHS Outdoor Kitchen with a Griddle

Family-Friendly Bunk Beds
The 26BHS model maintains Wayfinder’s family-friendly design, with double over double bunk beds that are designed to accommodate even taller campers. We’ve added power outlets and convenient phone pockets to the bunks, making it easier for everyone to stay connected and charged up during your adventures.
Go Play 26BHS Double-Over-Double Bunks
Windows in Both Bunks: Unlike some other designs, the 26BHS offers windows in both the upper and lower bunks. This feature not only aids in natural light access but also serves as a safety feature, with the bottom window functioning as a fire escape, enhancing the security aspect of the bunk areas.
Added Convenience with Power Outlets and Phone Pockets: The bunks are equipped with power outlets and handy phone pockets, enhancing the comfort and convenience for occupants. These thoughtful additions mean individuals can charge their devices and keep them close at hand while using the bunks, adding a touch of modern convenience to the camping experience.
Go Play 26BHS Bunkhouse Ventilation
The only negative feedback we have is the lower bunk in the double-over-double bunk configuration may have ventilation issues, potentially getting quite warm as there is no effective way to circulate air in the closed-off space. Some individuals have resorted to DIY solutions, such as using a dryer vent hose to direct air into the lower bunk area.
Go Play 26BHS Comfortable and Convenient Bathroom
The bathroom design ensures you have ample space and comfort, with a spacious shower and plenty of headroom. The step-in shower is easy to access, and we’ve made sure you can enjoy some privacy with a locking bathroom door.
Go Play 26BHS Bathroom Features
- Toilet Space: Lots of elbow and hip space so you can sit on the toilet without feeling like a sardine.
- Shower Space
- adequate space available.
- Floor to ceiling height of six feet and nine inches.
- Easy step-in design, not a high step like in a travel trailer tub
Privacy
- Privacy: Bathroom door has a lock for privacy.
Go Play 26BHS Smart Storage Solutions
Storage is essential in any RV, and the 26BHS doesn’t disappoint. You’ll find a full pantry, hanging wardrobe towers, and even under-bed storage with gas struts for easy access. We’ve kept your storage needs in mind so you can bring along everything you need for your journey.
Go Play 26BHS Storage
- Dinette Storage: The dinette not only folds down into a sleeper but also features storage below, capable of accommodating bigger and heavier items, facilitating the seating of full-size adults.
- Floor-to-Ceiling Pantry: Offering substantial space for storing a variety of items, making organization a breeze.
- Refrigerator Options: The current 8 cubic foot 12-volt compressor fridge serves well, but there’s a discussion to possibly upgrade it to a 10 cubic foot variant, which might offer more storage space for perishables.
- Bedroom Storage: Equipped with hanging wardrobe towers on both sides and a gas strutted easy lift to access storage below the bed. The open shelf above the bed can house wicker baskets for organized storage.
- Outside Kitchen Storage: Comes with a drawer and a small shelf with power outlets to facilitate outdoor cooking needs. The new standard grill or griddle addition provides more versatility for outdoor meals.

This travel trailer is designed to be easy to tow and maneuver. It’s just under 30 feet in length, making it a manageable option for many half-ton trucks in various regions. We understand that not everyone needs a massive rig, and this compact size allows for more flexibility and accessibility.
