Let’s take a look at the various features, the good and the bad, of the North Point 310RLTS.
Living Area
The North Point 310RLTS has dual slides to help create a spacious and comfortable living area.
Owners of previous North Point models hated seeing their pleather couches crack, and Jayco heard their worries. Both the theater seating and the tri-fold couch are now covered with a performance cloth that is stain-protected and soft to the touch.
The North Point series is moving away from standard RV practices and becoming much more residential in the features they choose. This is clear in their choice of stereo with their JBL soundbar and subwoofer to give consumers an RVing experience like no other.
Another improvement comes in the massive 60” windows on the campside slide. Jayco increased the window size everywhere they could simply because they received feedback that people wanted larger windows.
With the electric fireplace and hidden television that rises from the countertop, the living area in the 310RLTS is somewhere you will want to spend time.
Kitchen
The 310RLTS continues the trend of making their RV more residential by using large GE appliances that you would find in a home.
The dual-door refrigerator comes with a 1,800w inverter to keep your food fresh. It also features a drinking water dispenser, mirroring a similar drinking water fountain found by the kitchen sink, taking away the need to pack away dozens of water bottles.
If you’re an RV chef, you will be happy to hear that the 310RLTS features a 24-inch oven with four cooktops and a convection microwave with a built-in air-fryer.
Additional features include:
- Fold-up butcher’s block
- Increased pantry and cabinet space
- Extendable table with extra fold-away chairs
- Rain-sensing max-air vent fan
- Soft-close residential drawers
Bathroom
The bathroom has everything you need. It comes with a large vessel sink, a backlit medicine cabinet with a ship-lap wall accent, and a comfortable teak seat in the shower rated up to 300lbs.
There is ample storage and North Point made it a priority to leave space for a wastebasket for those who want one in their bathroom.
The shower allows plenty of headroom for tall RVers, ensuring that individuals of all shapes and sizes can be comfortable doing business in the 310RLTS.
Bedroom
The North Point 310RLTS features an incredibly spacious bedroom that is built for comfort and relaxation.
The 310RLTS also keeps both the Cyclops window above the bed and breeze windows for excellent ventilation, a feature many manufacturers are phasing out.
It also features a full Whisper ducted air system to ensure a quiet and enjoyable atmosphere.
Determined to not waste any space, Jayco added drawers beneath the hanging closet space to give you the most storage space possible.
The 310RLTS is washer/dryer prepped, but if you choose to not go for the washer and dryer set-up, you will have two more clothes rods to extend your closet space.
Road Mode: Travel Access
The bedroom and bathroom of the 310RLTS are both completely accessible in transit, but the living area and kitchen are both completely blocked off by the campside slide.
Josh the RV Nerd makes sure to point out that if you have enough room to put down the stairs to enter your RV, you have enough room to extend that campside slide. Doing so allows access to the dining and living area, and the fridge — but not the freezer side.
So while the North Point 310RLTS does not get an A+ rating for travel access, it definitely gets a passing grade.
Exterior
There is a large front storage area on the North Point 310RLTS. This space is perfect for a generator without forcing you to sacrifice cargo space.
The Uniroyal H-rated tires provide durability and blend with the Dexter anti-sway, anti-lock braking system for safe towing.
In the passthrough storage, you will find the 5-gallon potable water jug for easily refilling your drinking water for convenient use from the fridge or kitchen sink.
The 310RLTS is built to the “max width,” meaning that if it were any wider, it would have to be placarded as a wide load.
Potential Problems
At 36’ long and the max width of 8’6,” the 310RLTS offers plenty of living space. This can end up being a problem for some when it comes to storing such a large RV or maneuvering it at campsites.
This is a further problem when it comes to towing. With a GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) of 16,000 lbs, the North Point 310RLTS can’t be towed by just any old truck. You could be putting yourself in danger with the wrong pairing of truck to RV.
To find out if your truck can pull this RV, check out the towing guide on bishs.com. If you want to learn more about the math behind towing pairings, check out the video below from Josh the RV Nerd.
