Living Area Features
As you step into the FSX 275VC’s living area it might feel like a smaller living space than expected. That’s not to say it’s cramped, just on the outside looking in you would think it would be larger. The 7ft ceilings, which are larger than your typical “6ish” footers, keep it from feeling cramped.
Forest River has also added creative, space-saving (or space-adding) solutions. For example, the shelving they’ve added behind the refrigerator. That space often just goes unused. The shelf height is adjustable as well which helps fit different sized objects.
Seating in this RV is limited to a set of two theater seats and two stools at the kitchen’s bar counter.
Am I the only one who often finds themselves standing and eating though? Sometimes I don’t even bother sitting down at the table for dinner. You might even find me on the couch instead of the table. Needless to say, if you’re like me when it comes to mealtime, you probably won’t even find the limited seating an issue.
Kitchen Features
Looking at the kitchen set up from the theater seats you’ll see there are:
- Plenty of outlets
- Factory entry door privacy shade
- Pivoting TV mount
- Storage behind the TV cabinet
- Convection air fryer oven
- Stove
To the left of the theater seating, you’ll find the refrigerator with doors that can open from either side. It probably wasn’t necessary to include this type of door here because the walls don’t make opening it more difficult, but you know, it’s the thought that counts and we’re glad to see manufacturers are thinking about the user experience.
Wildwood went a step further to change the opening function so that you can’t pull the door right off. You have to have it fully closed before either side can open.
One thing that wasn’t included in the kitchen is gaps under the counters that one, prevent stubbed toes, and two, allow you to get right up against the counter during meal prep.
A nice little addition was the lighting coming from under the counter. The glow brings out that marble effect of the counter space and eliminates the need for anyone to blind themselves with the main light on the way to the bathroom or kitchen in the middle of the night.
Speaking of things coming out from the counter, the pop-up power tower is great for any countertop appliances you might need for your outdoor adventure.
The kitchen has tons of storage, but, one miss is there isn’t space for a trash can under the sink.
Versa Bedroom
What looks like a quad bunkhouse transforms into whatever you need it to be. Bunks, sofas, craft space, storage – you name it. The icing on the cake here is that it all folds up and collapses very easily. It’s not a huge process to create variations in how you use the space.
If you look up, you’ll see that there is a power junction prepped so that you could add a second air conditioner if you wanted.
The windows in the Versa Bedroom come with snap-on blackout shades that lay flat so younger kids won’t pull them off when thrashing in their sleep – or is it just my kids that do that?
Bathroom Features
Usually, FSX bathrooms don’t have much put into them as far as “glam” goes. This time, however, they’ve done a little more to try and make the bathroom pop. Here are some of the features:
- Tall shower (no banging your head)
- Bar light on the shower for added light
- Plenty of toilet space
- Storage
Main Bedroom Features
The FSX 275VC’s bedroom doesn’t skimp on comfort or convenience. It comes equipped with a power head bed lift which isn’t typical for a Murphy. This allows for a large area at the foot of the bed — perfect for getting ready without feeling cramped.
You also have nifty USB and household outlets for all your gadgets.
The wall directly across from the bed is prepped for a TV mount. Sometimes manufacturers have the mount on a wall to either side of the bed which makes watching it kind of awkward or even uncomfortable. The fact that it’s directly across from the bed is very much appreciated!
There’s plenty of storage, with closets and overhead cabinets that gravity close.
But here’s the kicker: it’s washer/dryer prepped. Though, you might need to play a bit of Tetris with a combo unit for a perfect fit. Unfortunately, the manufacturer didn’t share which washer/dryer combo would fit, so you may need to do a little homework (and measuring) before committing to a set.
Road Mode: Towing and Travel Access
Travel Access: When the slide is retracted, access to the bedroom and bathroom goes poof.
This isn’t ideal, and may or may not be a deal breaker for you. The silver lining? The trailer offers up to four beds at the back, which can be a savior for those impromptu roadside naps or snacking sessions.
Just a heads up, the fridge is only semi-accessible, so maybe keep the drinks somewhere more reachable if you’re planning on grabbing a cold one on the go.

Exterior
Let’s break down some of the exterior features:

- Cable Slide system for reliable slide-outs, replacing older Schwintech models
Potential Problems
- Possible issues fitting a true Queen mattress in the bedroom space
- Lots of research and some trial and error may be required for the optional washer/dryer installation
- Slide closure limits access to certain areas during travel
