Spacious Living Area
The moment you step inside, you’ll notice the opposing living room slides, which immediately set the stage for a spacious and welcoming interior. And, with large windows on both sides, the cross-breeze potential is fantastic.
Arcadia made a brilliant move by ditching the dual hide-a-bed sleeper sofas in favor of a single extra-large sleeper sofa and a dining area in the other slide. This provides ample seating without overcrowding the space.
The seating is pushed further by the reclining loveseat that borders the kitchen counter, meaning you will have plenty of room in this camper to invite friends over for a fun night.
The 294SLRD has the ideal setup for entertaining – comfortable seating, a great entertainment center, and a kitchen bar for party prep. This floor plan is all about comfortable, fun-filled living.
Well-Designed Kitchen
The U-shaped kitchen in the Arcadia 294SLRD is a very welcome addition, offering incredible storage and prep space without taking up too much room. This kitchen layout is a winner, and it’s often seen in toy haulers, for good reason.
You’ll also find an oversize 22-inch oven and inverter-prepped power outlets – thoughtful touches that make RV life easier. The cabinets also feature soft-close doors which are a nice touch that also carries over to the entertainment center.
One thing to watch out for is that the fridge located in the campside slide does get blocked off in road mode, however, Josh quickly points out that as long as you have enough room to put down the stairs to get into the RV, you have enough room to extend the slide if you are desperate for a snack or drink from the fridge!
Bathroom
Moving towards the upper deck, you’ll find a straightforward but comfortable bathroom setup. There is plenty of room around the toilet and in the shower so that most individuals can avoid a cramped feeling.
And with plenty of storage with the cabinets and linen closet, you’ll be able to store all your bathroom essentials with room left over.
Bedroom
The 294SLRD features a comfortable true queen bed with a unique headboard that doubles as a handy phone shelf, adding a functional touch to the bedroom.
The closet storage is spacious with large dresser drawers below and is located in its own slide to maximize storage capacity. Plus, the bed lifts easily for additional storage space.
One thing that is always a plus is the struts in the overhead cabinets which keep the doors open so you can avoid smacking your head.
Accessible Road Mode
For as many slides as the Arcadia 294SLRD has, there is a surprising amount of functionality maintained while in road mode. With the exception of the fridge being blocked off as we mentioned before (which has a relatively easy fix) the majority of essential features remain completely accessible with the slides in.
The U-shaped kitchen is entirely accessible, as is the bathroom, and you can still comfortably sleep in the bed with the wardrobe slide in. Though you may want to be careful if you tend to thrash around in your sleep.
Exterior Features
The exterior of the 294SLRD has many features that you’ve probably come to expect from a fifth wheel.
This Arcadia comes equipped with an automatic leveling system, a 300-pound accessory hitch, an on-demand water heater, and it comes prepped for a backup camera.
The new solar package is impressive, with a 220-watt panel and a 30-amp charge controller, providing ample juice for off-grid adventures. If you’re into boondocking, this setup will keep you powered up and comfortable for days.
