#1 Dried Potpourri

Dried potpourri is a wonderful way to enhance the smell of autumn in your home. Not only can you customize it to your personal preference you can also leave it out for as long as you’d like. It’s easy to make and it doesn’t need to be watched like a candle burning would need.


Mix the following simple ingredients to make your dried potpourri:

– Whole cinnamon sticks, slightly crushed

– Vanilla essential oil extract

– Anise seeds

– Allspice

– Nutmeg, ground or whole

– Whole cloves


#2 Simmering Stovetop Potpourri

Gently burning potpourri on your stove is another way to spread the smell of fall through your home. Simmering potpourri is a way to get a stronger sent then just your basic dried potpourri. Fill a sauce pan with your choice of water or apple cider and add the ingredients of your desire. Bring to a boil then let simmer.
